It’s almost summer, and that means it’s time for colour.  A pop of orange can be playful, striking, and because is comes in a variety of shades, flattering on many different skin tones.  One of the most exciting lip trends, since red lipstick, for Summer is the colour tangerine. Yes that’s right, tangerine is orange! Tangerine lips are taking the beauty world (and the runways!) by storm, serving as an unexpected pop of colour that instantly warms the features, as long as you’re not afraid to go bold!

Consider Your Skin Tone
True orange shades look great on blondes and women with caramel-coloured skin or darker, but medium and olive skin tones should opt for corals and reddish oranges.

Keep It Simple
When sporting a melon mouth it’s best to keep the rest of your look subtle. Avoid colourful shadows and opt for a natural lid or a simple swipe of your favorite mascara.

Play with intensity. You don’t have to start with a neon orange right out of the gate. To ease into the look, try a bright orange stain like, or dab a fiery orange only on your bottom lip and blend. But if you’re going for all-out vibrant orange, fill in your lips with a matching orange liner and apply color straight from the tube.

Make your skin glow. Since orange lipstick can draw attention to redness and blemishes, cover flaws with a light-to-medium-coverage foundation. Then add bronzer. A lot of it. dust powder over your cheekbones, across your forehead, and down the bridge of your nose. The result is beachy, exotic, and supersexy.

Go matte. With bold shades—especially eye-catching orange—feathering and fading are more noticeable, so skip glossy formulas that can slip off your lips. Instead, go for a matte finish, which tends to stay put.
